Our Pub
We welcome you to our historic pub in Dolphin, North Wales, where tradition meets breathtaking views of the Dee Estuary and Wirral Peninsula. Established in 1559, our pub has been a cornerstone of the community for centuries. Nestled above the 10-mile Milwr Tunnel, built in 1897 to drain the lead mines in Halkyn Mountain, our location is steeped in history. The tunnel is part of the Halkyn United Mines, a vast network of mines, lodes, and natural caves extending up to 100km – the longest in the United Kingdom. Our pub proudly earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records for being owned by the same family for 400 years.
